Still Travelling After All These Years.
Winters in Europe are just plain cold! Donna and I decided that we might as well continue our travelling ways and migrate to much warmer climates during the cold and freezing months. In fact we were in the midst of our travels when our fateful van death occurred and we hitch-hiked to Cognac and got 'discovered'.
We have no complaints! We've hung around Europe for quite a while longer than we would have otherwise and met lots of really nice people and experienced Europe in a way that people seldom have the chance to do! But, it is cold over the winter months and not being a big fan of the cold, we have resumed our journeys around the world! This does not mean that we won't be back! Oh, no! We plan on touring with the music over the summer months playing festivals and visiting old and new friends. The winter months will be spent in warm places writing new music and working on other projects. So stay tuned! L

Lance & Donna ...
A short bio...
In the early 90s, Lance Harrison and Donna Howley became known to Nashville R&B audiences as "Lance & Donna" and had settled into a comfortable life as musicians and owners of a demo/recording studio off of the city's fabled Music Row. But in 1992, their life was jolted by an unexpected blow that would leave them without a home or business and send them on a quest of renewed discovery for the roots of the Blues.
Left without anything but their dream of pursuing music and travel, they began backpacking, hitchhiking and playing the streets. They traveled throughout Europe to the Middle East and on to Asia, Central and South America leading the lives of true 'Blues Troubadours'. In 1996, they dedicated themselves to Europe by buying a vintage camping van. But a blown engine left them stranded on the streets of France, where they were discovered by the organizers of a major blues festival and taken off the street and put on stage. And there they have remained, to the delight of Blues fans throughout Europe.
Lance & Donna's emphasis on pre-war Blues is reflected in Lance's style and interpretation, as well as his original compositions. In 2005 they released their critically acclaimed CD "The Sun Will Shine". Through their performances in clubs and festivals, they've gained recognition by the French Blues community and today, from their home base in Cologne, they are captivating German audiences. But don't be surprised if that address soon changes, as Lance & Donna are blues troubadours in the truest sense of the word!
